The Provincial League (sometimes referred to as the Quebec Provincial League) was a lower- to mid-level circuit in North American minor league baseball. It spent seven seasons in "organized baseball" as a member of the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues in 1940 and from 1950-55, the first year as a mid-level Class B league, and the last six seasons as a Class C loop with many of its clubs affiliated with Major League Baseball farm systems.
The league was almost exclusively quartered in Québec, with only the 1955 Burlington A's dwelling outside the Canadian province. The Quebec Braves, minor league affiliate of the Boston/Milwaukee Braves, won the PL's last four playoff championships.
The Provincial League also was the name of associations of semi-professional and independent professional clubs that played in various Québec cities between 1922 and 1970.
